Dr. Katie Gaut
Practice Owner & Veterinarian (BVSc, BAnVetBioSci)
Dr. Katie practiced at Heathmont Animal Hospital for 7 years as an Associate Veterinarian before becoming the new Practice Owner in 2024. She is a graduate of The University of Sydney, has undertaken further studies in Small Animal Internal Medicine and is a member of the International Sled Dog Veterinary Medical Association. Katie’s professional interests include internal medicine and cardiology, as well as soft tissue surgery. Katie lives with her husband and her rescue Staffy x Corgi named Tuppence. In her time away from work, Katie enjoys travelling, reading and being outdoors.

Dr. Kaylee Onn
Veterinarian (DVM)
Dr. Kaylee is an alumnus of The University of Melbourne, graduating at the end of 2017 and joining the team at Heathmont in 2019. Kaylee has a particular interest in Animal Behaviour, having completed futher studies in 2023 on this topic, and enjoys working with owners to improve their pets behavioural concerns. Outside of work, Dr. Kaylee loves baking, gaming and exploring Melbourne and the surrounds for great new food experiences!

Dr. Malinee Sirikhant
Veterinarian (BVSc)
Dr. Malinee started with HAH as a new graduate veterinarian back in 2016 when she graduated The University of Queensland. She left the clinic in 2017 to gain further experience elsewhere before returning to HAH as a permanent part time staff member in 2022. Mal enjoys being in the surgery the most, and outside of work loves going for a run and spending time with her Husband and toddler, Jordan.

Beck
Practice Manager
Beck is a qualified Cert IV veterinary nurse, a Registered Veterinary Nurse with the VNCA (Veterinary Nurses Council of Australia) and has been nursing for over 20 years! She joined the HAH team in March 2025 and has been an incredible asset to the team and invaluable support in helping Dr. Katie bring the clinic into it’s next iteration.
Helping animals has been Beck’s lifelong dream and, even after 20 years, she is still passionate and motivated to continue learning and adding to her skillset. Beck has 7 pets and son, Seth, to keep her busy outside of work. She also enjoys horse riding, fishing and camping with family and friends. -

Maddie
Wellness Officer, Veterinary Nurse
Maddie first made an impression on us when she undertook work experience at the clinic for school in 2016. We welcomed her back in 2020 as a staff member, and she has since become a competent nurse and taken over management of our social media, as well as patient and staff wellbeing at the clinic. Maddie holds a Bachelor of Environmental Science, majoring in Wildlife Conservation and Biology as well as a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. In her spare time she loves exploring the great outdoors and expressing her creative side through various artistic mediums.

Elyse
Veterinary Nurse
Elyse has been with us at Heathmont Animal Hospital for over 17 years, making her our longest serving employee! Her nursing interests include surgery and client interaction. Outside of work, Elyse enjoys staying fit and watching her two boys compete in various sports. Elyse’s family of boys include her two sons Lachlan and Jake, and her adorable Staffy, “Lenny”.

Emma
Receptionist
Emma has been a part of the HAH team since 2012. She holds a Bachelor in Biomedical Science, with Honours in Genetics, and is married with two kids (Olivia and William). Emma only works casually now due to personal circumstances but her hobbies include fostering rescue pets, so if you’re looking for a new furry companion feel free to have a chat with her!
